As much as I love Inkigayo, I think this performance is the best so far. It’s the first time they used hand held mics and even though they cannot dance fully, it made their singing better. Baby lost that faltering he had during the Music Core performance and all their voices came out good. Their outfits are better too and so is the intro.

This song just keeps getting better and better every time I hear it.

Too bad they didn’t win. I’m not being biased being a SS501 fan but I honestly didn’t get why they didn’t win. An amazing song like “Love Like This” lose to a funny song entitled “Ring Ding Dong.” Oh well, better luck next time.

Among the three music shows of the three stations, I’ve always love SBS Inkigayo more than KBS Music Bank and MBC Music Core. For some reason, I always find performances done in this show better than the two. Not just the performances but also the background setting.

SS501’s performance in this music show is just like what I expected. It was better than Music Core and they also sang Only One Day. So you get not only Love Like This but a new beautiful ballad.

But it would have been terrific if they sang Obsess. Oh my God, I can’t wait till they perform that song.

The long wait is finally over!!!

Our favorite Double S guys finally performed their new single in Music Core.

Oh my God, Hyun Joong leader is way too hot to handle. So smexy!!! Shillang, you’re so not that kid groom anymore.

And what happened to Young Saeng? I adore this change in him. I always find him way too soft for my taste but now, he looks so hot with that bad boy aura. It suits him even though this new image of him if a far cry from his young prince image.

I now understand why Jung Min’s nickname is Sexy Charisma. Yes, he was definitely oozing with that charisma in this performance.

Kyu Jong is hot. He has always been gorgeous but in somewhat understated kind of way. However, he is definitely climbing up the ladder fast.

Hyung Joon baby is definitely cannot be called baby anymore. Though I don’t like the fact that they curled his hair once again, I still love him.

I am so excited for their performance in other shows. But I still yet have to get a copy of their album.

SS501 Hwaiting!!!

Still too much guyliner but damn hot. What a teaser, I want more.

I love the song. They are so lucky that it was given to them coz’ a lot of artists wanted Love Like This to be their single.

Their music style is different but I can definitely say it is better now. It’s just too bad that Music Bank was canceled. It would have been a thrill to watch them perform this song live.

Oh, and by the way, in this music video, baby is the hottest and sexiest. (And of course, HJ Leader too ^_^)

Arashi is the next SMAP?

..oops, before anything else, just read the article first.

From Shunkan Bunshun

SMAP’s popularity is on the decline. For many years they were called national idols and anything they appeared in would get massive ratings, but all that is beginning to collapse. Their drama ratings have fallen and their show SMAPxSMAP, which at one point was pulling in over 30%, is now closer to 10. TV stations are now focusing more on Arashi. Furthermore, all of this will have an impact on who will be succeeding the throne to Johnny’s Jimusho.

Having realized SMAP just aren’t what they used to be, TV stations have started putting their feelers out to find another talent to replace them. However, their reliance on Johnny’s hasn’t changed. A showbiz insider said,”Their interest has shifted from SMAP to Arashi. Back in August after Arashi’s Kokuritsu concert, they had a big party at a hotel where Fuji and NTV executives greeted them – something unthinkable back in SMAP’s heyday.”

Apparently the whole SMAP situation is having an effect on who will be successor to Johnny’s Jimusho, something TV stations are keeping their eyes on. “Right now it’s beetween Iijima Michi, who has been managing SMAP, and Fujishima Julie Keiko, daughter of Vice President Mary Kitagawa.

Due to her association with SMAP people are turning their backs on Iijima as well. “Recently Johnny drunkenly said to a TV show staffer, ‘Are you with Iijima? Or Julie? All the stations should drop Iijima and go with Julie.'”

This gotta be the hottest topic among Jpop fans today – most especially Arashi’s and SMAP’s fans.

It’s just funny how whoever wrote this article is comparing SMAP and Arashi. Both groups came from the same talent agency. They don’t belong in the same generation. SMAP is way way ahead of Arashi. While Arashi has 10 years under their belt, SMAP has 20 amazing years. These guys are also their sempais and they respect them very much.

Sure, SMAPxSMAP’s ratings are going down now but isn’t that already expected? In this day and age, the competition is very fierce, it takes a lot to stay on top of that game. (But that show is AMAZING, I’m 100% sure that a lot of people will be sad if it goes away.)

I feel kinda sad for Arashi. Sure, it is an honor for someone to even think that they can be the next SMAP but I can just imagine the pressure they’re under right now.

Even when I wasn’t into Jpop so many years ago, I already know about SMAP. They’re really a huge thing. I really really respect them a lot.

But I don’t think that Arashi needs to surpass SMAP in order to be considered successful. That goes out the same way for other JE artists. In their own right, they are successful.

Also, another thing, when you think of SMAP, you can’t help but think of Kimura Takuya more. Let’s admit it, he’s the most successful and most famous. However, when you think of Arashi, even though fans have their own ichibans and pairings even, you still think of A.M.N.O.S. You think of

Aiba Masaki,
Matsumoto Jun,
Ninomiya Kazunari,
Ohno Satoshi, and
Sakurai Sho.

“Regardless of SMAP’s legend or history…
Arashi and any other JE groups are walking their own paths,
creating their own history,
making their own legend…”

“SMAP’s legend and success is one of a kind.
Arashi will create something of their own.”

Oh my God, the songs are all wonderful!!!

Seriously, they’re all sooooo damn good.

I first heard Love Like This and I love it. Then after that, I listened to Obsess and it was even better! The chorus is something like I would hear in an American song.

Their music style is definitely different now but looks like all their hard work has paid off. They’ve produced an amazing mini album!

I’m not sure about their fashion style and looks though. I need some time to get used to it.

But basically, the album is astounding. Is Warner Music also going to release this here (in addition to the three previous albums they will be releasing)? If not, do I have to rely on YesAsia? I AM SO POOR ALREADY.

He won The Best Actor Award in the 13th Nikkan Sports Drama Grand Prix (Spring) for his role as a half-Filipino in the drama Smile.

After winning for Bambino, here’s another award for him. Wow, Matsujun is really proving to all that he is not just a handsome face. He is also not just a member of Arashi but he’s a good actor as well.

I haven’t seen Smile yet, unfortunately. I’ve seen the first episode but though I’m open-minded, it was pretty hard to watch. Poor Vito.

But jeez, Smile won the Best Drama too and Nakai Kiichi won Best Supporting Actor. Wow, maybe I really should continue watching this drama.
